Orders and Payment FAQs
- For a Domestic order, we accept all valid credit/debit cards issued in India, Internet Banking, UPI, QR, and EMI for orders below INR 5 Lakhs (~USD 5,700).
- For orders above INR 5 Lakhs (~USD 5,700), payment must be made via Bank Transfer – NEFT or IMPS, as our payment gateway currently supports only this payment method for high-value jewelry purchases. Please select this option at checkout.
- If you choose any payment method other than NEFT or IMPS for an order exceeding INR 5 Lakhs, multiple payments will be required in increments of INR 5 Lakhs (~USD 5,700), through a payment link provided by us upon your email request at ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com. For example, for an order of INR 12 Lakhs, payments would be made in three parts: INR 5 Lakhs + INR 5 Lakhs + INR 2 Lakhs.
- For an International order, we accept all valid International Credit Cards and Bank Transfer.
- For email/ phone sales, payments can be made securely via a payment link or bank wire transfer.
- Please note that payments on www.auwlassembly.com will be accepted only in INR for domestic orders. In case of international credit cards, the transaction amount will be converted to INR before the payment is accepted. Currency conversion charges will apply according to the prevailing exchange rates on the day of placing the order, based on your credit card policy. Please check our Payments Policy.

Shipping FAQs
- For Indian orders, we do not levy any shipping or delivery charges.
- For jewelry to be shipped outside India, we offer free shipping on orders worth USD 500 or more only.
- We strive to include all applicable taxes and duties in our pricing to ensure a seamless shopping experience. For orders placed within India, state and local taxes are accounted for at checkout. For international orders, handling charges, customs duties, and taxes levied by the destination country must be borne by the customer. These charges will be calculated at checkout and must be paid at the time of order placement. All international shipments are processed on a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) basis.
- However, if any additional taxes or duties arise during transit that were unknown at the time of purchase, they will remain the customer’s responsibility. While we make every effort to stay updated, tax and duty structures are subject to change, and we do not assume responsibility for fluctuations (though they aren’t much). The final applicable charges will always be displayed at checkout based on the delivery destination.

Yes. AUWL Assembly takes out full transit insurance on all our products till they reach you, making your purchase 100% safe.
- Yes. Since the shipments are of high value, to ensure correct and safe delivery, our logistic partners may request for government-issued ID proof like a driving license or passport, or an OTP while handing over the shipment.
- For domestic orders (deliveries within India), PAN (Permanent Account Number) submission is mandatory for purchases above INR 2 lakhs as per Indian Government regulations. After placing your order, email a PAN copy (matching the billing information – buyer’s name) to ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com or submit Form 60 in case of unavailability of PAN. Non-compliance shall result in order cancellation with cancellation charges. For queries, contact our support team at ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com.
- The billing name is supposed to be the same as the PAN card else the PAN card will not get verified and the customer will not be able to proceed ahead with the order.

Cancellations and Returns FAQs
- In case you choose to cancel your order within 12 hours after placement due to a change of mind or any other reason, a deduction will be applied to the refund amount. This includes applicable payment gateway charges, transaction fees, platform fees, shipping costs, any other third-party fees, or handling charges. The remaining balance will be processed for refund as per our standard timelines (see Cancellation Policy).
- Once an order is placed, you can only cancel it before it is processed for manufacturing.
- After the 12 hours cancellation window closes, any customer-initiated cancellation request will be accepted only at the sole discretion of AUWL Assembly, as the manufacturing process commences.
- Once we receive your cancellation request, we will initiate the process of refunding the amount directly to your account through the same payment mode that you had used to make the transaction. Please expect the refund within 7 to 15 business days, depending on the mode chosen. Please connect with your issuer bank if your refund is delayed.
- You will not be billed for any brand-initiated cancellations. However, cancellation charges will apply if the cancellation is due to misinformation, fraud alerts provided by the customer, or failure to meet required terms and conditions. AUWL Assembly Ventures Pvt. Ltd. reserves the sole discretion to determine and enforce these charges.

For domestic orders, in the unlikely case that you receive defective or incomplete products, you must report to us within 24 hours of delivery and can return your jewelry unworn within 7 days of delivery – in its original packaging, by following these steps:

- For orders shipped within India, if a manufacturing defect is identified (which is rare, as each jewelry piece undergoes stringent Quality Checks before dispatch), we shall, at our sole discretion, arrange for a pickup, rectify the defect, and return ship it back to your registered address. However, we do not accept returns under any circumstances for our high-value, made-to-order products, as they are custom-crafted exclusively for you with care.
- We'll share contact details of our logistic partner, and they will arrange for a pickup.
- Please remember to enclose the original tags, invoice, certificates, and guarantees.
- Please note that an INR 3000-6000 replacement fee applies for lost or tampered certificates.
- For security reasons, do not mention jewelry, diamonds or other related terms anywhere on the package.
- When we receive your return, our quality assurance team will assess the jewelry; when they give us the go-ahead, we'll process your refund.

Diamond and Gemstone FAQs
AUWL Assembly only uses naturally mined diamonds, of different color and clarity gradings such as VS1-GH and SI1-GH - certified by reputable certification agencies such as GIA, IGI, HRD, DGLA, SGL, or others on a case-to-case basis. Each certification agency holds full responsibility for their certificates, and AUWL Assembly cannot vouch guarantee their validity. Certificates of authenticity are provided for all diamonds approximately 0.50 carats and of diameter 5mm, and above, in line with industry standards. Accent diamonds smaller than this size are covered by our in-house e-certificate.

A few things to note:
- On a case-to-case, we may offer certification by another agency as well.
- The responsibility for the authenticity of the diamond rests with the certifying agency; we only take them on trust.
While we handpick every gemstone we use in our jewelry, we use AA, AA+, AAA and AAA+ grades which are the most superior grades. Each type of gemstone follows different quality parameters, based on its color, hue, saturation, cut, and clarity. Do remember that every natural gemstone is beautiful in its own way. Yes, our naturally-mined diamonds are conflict free. We support the work of the international Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which monitors the origin of rough diamonds to ensure that diamond sales are not being used to finance conflicts. Nowadays, it is believed that conflict diamonds account for less than 0.2% of global supply.
Unlike mass-produced jewelry, each of our pieces is meticulously handcrafted, honoring India's rich tradition of craftsmanship. We prioritize artistry over assembly, ensuring every creation is unique and meaningful, crafted with skill, passion, and precision. Additionally, we believe in fair wages for our artisans, reflecting the true value of our brand. Our pricing isn't just about delivering a stone in a standard setting—it's about crafting a piece you'll cherish for a lifetime.
Sorry, we don’t work with any gemstone we didn’t source ourselves. This is to make sure of the origin and authenticity of the gemstone, which makes it easier for our artisans to work with.
Sorry, all our gemstone and diamond jewelry pieces are sold as wholes. Here’s why: our cost of manufacture fluctuates depending on a) gold and platinum prices, b) currency exchange rates, c) our partner relationships, d) the particulars of the setting. and e) the complexity of the central gemstone. Our setting prices are calculated assuming that they are paired with a central gemstone. The same applies to our accent stones as well.
Therefore, it’s impossible for us to give a consistent breakdown.
Honestly, we have no comment on anyone else’s business practices. We offer you a price for your made-to-order jewelry that is competitive for its class, but for reasons stated above, we cannot give breakdowns. Please note that made-to-order jewelry does not have the same cost-efficiency as mass production, which we do not do, but it does offer you higher quality and more personalization.
We offer various cuts of gemstones for each of our products (do check out our product range here), each of which is made-to-order by hand, by expert artisans.
Nevertheless, if you want a cut or shape that’s not in our standard range, do write to us at ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com with the cut you have in mind. We’ll get back to you within 7 business days on whether we are able to source such a gemstone and cut.
That’s because no two gemstones of the same carat weight are necessarily the same. The gemstones we use are cut by hand based on the type of cut you choose (e.g. emerald, cushion, round or oval), which means that their length, width, and depth will differ. Different gemstones have different densities, e.g. an emerald with the same shape, cut and dimensions as a ruby will not have the same carat weight. The same applies for comparing two similar Emeralds or two similar Rubies.
The total carat weight of gemstones will always vary and may differ from the approximate total carat weight listed on the Product Specification Details page. Thus, dimensions are a more reliable measure than carat weight.
All natural gemstones are mineral crystals (except pearls and coral) – and hence unique in the way they grow. For example, while two different emeralds share the same chemical identity, they will have different intrusions and impurities (in quantity and quality), that give them their hue and saturation.
Pearls and corals are grown by living organisms – and each is different due to the different growth conditions of the organism.
Because of these reasons, one gemstone may appear lighter while another of the same kind looks darker. Don’t worry – this is what gives them their uniqueness, and makes them perfect heirlooms!
Sorry, but no. The reason is simple. Because we make-to-order based on your choices of gemstone, cut, setting and metal, your exact piece doesn’t exist at the time of ordering. We do not carry a large volume of mass-produced, in-stock pieces, nor do we store gemstones of every kind. Instead, we source the gemstone you ordered from our trusted suppliers, and our artisans then get to work to make the jewelry piece the way you want it.
However, you can see a rendering on the website when you order (see below), so you get an approximation of what you’ll get when shipped.
It's the same reason as above – unless someone else has ordered the exact same combination as you – your piece doesn’t exist. However, we try our best to show real photos when a particular combination, or something very similar to it, has indeed been ordered.
Since each piece of jewelry is hand-crafted, we don’t have pictures of every piece. Instead, we use renderings – computer-assisted designs that give you the best approximation of how a finished piece will look. Where we do have real-life pieces that we have crafted, we use pictures of those alongside.
Please note that renderings are only a guide to the look; do not take the rendering as an exact example of the final piece. That will depend on the real gemstones chosen, whose look and feel depend on the natural inclusions in them (see above).

Bespoke Jewelry FAQs
Yes, we do! If you have references for a particular design you like, please email them to us at ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com. Our experts will check the feasibility, sources for the gemstones and setting etc. If we can do it, we’ll email you back an estimate for the bespoke piece within 7 to 10 business days.
It'll depend on the style, size, gemstone and diamond choice, carat, cut, gold karat and budget that you share. We will try our best to be within the budget, whilst sourcing the best quality gemstones and metal for the setting. If it cannot fit the budget, we will still give you a quote at the most competitive prices possible, depending on market conditions.
It depends on how long it takes to source the gemstone you want, and how intricate the piece is. Usually, it takes us between 4 to 8 weeks.
Yes. We ask you for a refundable security deposit in advance, while we create the rendering of your design. If you didn’t like it (which is rare with us!), we’ll refund you the deposit after deducting the CAD and the rendering cost considering our designer’s fee.
Once you approve the rendering, we’ll ask you to pay the remaining amount of the payment, and we begin the bespoke manufacturing process. Once we receive your payment for the order confirmation, your payment becomes non-refundable, and we move on to the manufacturing stage.
Please note: All of our custom-made pieces are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Our renderings are made painstakingly by our designers, to be as accurate as possible to the original design. When you cancel a bespoke order after the rendering has been made, we still have to pay the designers for their efforts – so we deduct a small rendering cost that goes towards paying our designers’ fees.
Sorry, but all our bespoke pieces are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. But rest assured, we will make sure that you get the gemstone and the design to your liking – and you’ll appreciate what our master craftsmen created for you!
Surely. If you have a specific gemstone or color in mind, we’ll try our best to source it within a reasonable cost and timeframe. If you want a gemstone (or gemstone color) that is not part of AUWL Assembly’s existing range (red coral, naturally-mined diamonds, emeralds, pearls, rubies, yellow sapphires, blue sapphires), we’ll figure a source for you. However, we cannot offer any guarantees.
Here are the steps we follow:
- You send us an email with your designs or descriptions, including references, at ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com. When sending your special instructions, please note that we only deal with gold or platinum, and natural gemstones (including diamonds).
- If we have any queries, we'll suggest a virtual meeting to finalize the particulars.
- We'll make our internal enquiries, regarding such things as central gemstone size/ carat, accent gemstones size/ carat, gemstone quality, metal color, metal carat, jewelry size, setting options, engravings, overall design possibility – and whether all these fit your budget.
- We will email you back our detailed advisory and costing estimate within 7 to 10 business days, and await your approval.
- We ask you for a refundable security deposit in advance, before we start to create the rendering of your design.
- Once you have paid, we proceed with rendering the piece using CAD, and will email you the design. If it matches your expectations, we await your approval to start manufacturing. Else, we will refund your payment, after deducting the CAD and the rendering cost considering our designer's fee.
- When we start sourcing the gemstones and manufacturing the piece, we ask you to pay the remaining amount due (see above). Do note that your piece is considered as ‘final sale', and your payment is non-refundable.
- We'll send you regular updates throughout the manufacturing process, which can take between 4 to 6 weeks depending on the gemstone to be sourced and complexity of the design.
- Finally, your bespoke piece will be shipped to you (with transport insurance). We'll send an email when we're ready.
While the sky is the limit, we have some earthly limitations.
- If your request is a direct copy of another jeweler's design, we will either politely decline, or ask you to make a few modifications. This is because neither you nor we should violate anyone’s copyright.
- We don't make any jewelry from any gemstones or pieces that you already have. This is to make sure that the stones and metals we use are authentic.
- If something in your design is technically impossible, or a gemstone is nearly impossible to source, we will inform you.
- As 100% online business, we offer virtual appointments for clients anywhere in the world! Simply email your request to ecomsupport@auwlassembly.com, and we’ll arrange a session at your convenience.
- Virtual appointments can be conducted via Zoom, Google Meet, or WhatsApp Video—whichever platform works best for you.
- Do note that we will not be able to show you any pieces – since all our pieces are made-to-order. We can however, show you renders, or photographs of piece made for previous clients.
- Please note that we have no physical stores, nor do we have any representatives authorized to have meetings with you.

No, for that we request you to refer to the bespoke jewelry FAQs. Customization is based only on the form fields you enter for each product (Stone Quality, Stone Carat, Metal Color, Metal Karat, Product Size and Engraving) on the respective page.
It'll depend on the parameters (Stone Quality, Stone Carat, Metal Color, Metal Karat, Product Size, Setting and Engraving) that you chose. We will still give you a quote at the most competitive price possible, depending on market conditions.
It depends on how long it takes to source the gemstone of the quality and carat that you want. Usually, it takes us between 4 to 8 weeks.
We may have to, depending on the gemstone and metal quality you ask for is
greater or superior. We will inform you of the final cost by email.
Sorry, but customized pieces are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
